I just never noticed yesterday…so I was wondering if the light came on for some reason. I was also wondering if I accidentally put it in Valet mode (but I don’t know how to do that).

I know all about the red safety light on the dashboard. But I was thinking about the flashing neon green light near the driver’s left knee. They tell us it always is, but it isn’t! They say it’s about the security system. Our crane is 3 years old and this bright light just started. It’s distracting when driving at night because it’s bright. We can’t find anything about this in the manual. Help!

The mountain safety system does not have a green light near your knee. This could mean that your dealer messed with your seat belt and installed the wrong safety system, even though the car has one that goes up.

They come in other versions and different shapes. They are door garbage disposal systems. Too much junk to fit in a car seat.

This is an old thread, you may not get a reply if you repost an old thread. Please consider creating a new topic. I bought my daughter an 07. The security light flashes twice about every 3 seconds. I noticed that it was not in working condition. What I mean is that the given key is not the original code key. The interior unlocks and locks the doors but does not activate the security alarm.

Am i wrong Is there a way to reset the key and alarm? When purchasing a new key, I knew the fit would have to match the key she received when we bought her car.

Is this an original subaru security light or is it a small headlight that the previous owner installed with a dummy security light that can be activated? I would like to be able to lock, unlock and start the car, not in gun safe mode. Is the alarm on?

This generation car shines until you start the car. All my people have done this and I have the original keys. As long as the light is on and beeps twice, the alarm goes off. The immobilizer works with the key.

The security light flashes every few seconds when the car is locked and turned off. it is normal.

The light installed on the Subaru remains bright. You close the door with the remote control, you only close the door. No flashing lights or beeps. It lights up when the car is unlocked and the remote is working. Tried turning valet mode on and off.

What does the parking light do when you lock or unlock your car with a phobia? I’m trying to get the full picture.

Wrx Security Light Blinking, Crank No Start

There is an antenna on the ignition lock cylinder that reads the key. When using the right button, pressing the start button will trigger the alarm.

Do you know if the car has remote start? There is a TSB regarding the antenna harness connector and the fault requires a new cable.

The parking lights come on when the car is unlocked or locked, the security lights come on when the car is running or not. As far as I know, there is no distant beginning. Battery is about a year old, all cables are in good condition with no corrosion.

If it’s Valet mode – maybe one way that works on this old Subaru is to turn it off:

This is an old thread, you may not get a reply if you repost an old thread. Consider getting a new belt. 2019 OB 2.4L – Just went on a 5 day 1700 mile trip last night and everything is running fine. Then today I saw a bunch of crazy lights. I have never had a problem with the car. Please see the attached photo. The electronics inside the car key / remote control have stopped working. Does anyone have any ideas or are we going to the dealer?

I just picked up an OB 2018 and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree: gauges, vision not working – manual, X-Mode icon flashing. The car ran but I didn’t get a warning to go away and the vision and cruise control didn’t work. So I took it to the dealer who told me that…

“Tightening the cover will not turn off the CHECK ENGINE warning light / does not work.” It may take several discs. “

So I’ll fill it up tomorrow and leave it for a few days – see if it clears up. THIS IS THE FIRST PROBLEM I HAVE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE AFTER 30,000 MILES. Happy owner.

2016 under contract with Legacy Mechanic sees no problem x 2. Takes <5 miles to reset. I myself ordered a new stove. Little faith in Subaru, I've seen many posts about this elsewhere – no real Subaru fix. The work is exhausting.

I’m surprised more people don’t know this already – dashboards that light up like Christmas trees (due to CEL) have been commonplace for over a decade. What is unusual, AFAIK, is the difficulty in diagnosing and fixing the problem. I can search any car and find stories like this, but that doesn’t mean it’s a widespread failure.

Suzuki Bandit 1200 Gsf1200s Speedo Speedometer Gauge Cluster Oem

This seems like decades to me – instead of a silly “Check Engine” the correct error code will be displayed so that owners can immediately decide if they can fix the problem.

Manufacturers do not want the interaction of car owners. The review process is for the service provider, not the owner. The OBD-II system has become universal among manufacturers due to the ease of working with independent companies outside the dealer network. Before OBD-II, there were many different diagnostic connectors and shops had to buy special equipment and list the manufacturer’s code when they were issued. OBD-II has saved Indians a headache.

IT’S GOOD. Here’s an update – bought the KOBRA WiFi OBD scanner on Amazon for $21.16 and downloaded the $9.99 OBD Fusion app (iPhone). We connected the OBD scanner to the port under the dash and connected to the iPhone OBD Fusion app via WiFi. The fault code is P2404: “Evaporative Exhaust System Leak Detection Pump Sensor Circuit” so it must be a loose oil cap. However, I cleaned up the code and I no longer have the board lit up like a Christmas tree. $30 well spent, saves me a trip to the dealer, plus I now have it for future use/review. Thanks everyone for your help.

Here is my fix for this code on my 2016 crossover – replacing the EVAP control valve diagnostic valve:

A leak of only 1 mm is enough to set the gas cap code. The maximum distance is 3 mm
