The two cheapest models – Pure and Pure SP – have several features inspired by the advanced Kodo design language.

Prices have risen by between $300 and $1000 depending on model level – in addition to the $120 price hike, Mazda Australia has applied it to its mid-size car range from 1 January 2023.
The 20th anniversary model costs $1,795 more than the base G35 Atenza turbo version, or $1,000 without standard metallic paint, and $795 for standard Mazda 6 models.
Available as a sedan or wagon, the 20th Anniversary adds 19-inch alloy wheels, 20th Anniversary badging, a silver front grille, tinted Legano-style mirrors and leather upholstery.
Turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine models deliver 173kW (up from 170kW), sharp pedal response and a six-speed automatic gearbox that demands snappy shifts.

The engine’s torque output remains unchanged at 420Nm (at 2000rpm), but Mazda says the engine produces 8Nm more torque at 4200rpm. Power steering is also available for all options.
The two most expensive models—the G25 Sport and G25 Touring—retain the 2.5-litre non-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine with 140kW/252Nm and a six-speed automatic (manual) transmission. All models are front wheel drive.
Equipment upgrades include wireless Apple CarPlay (except on Loop) and wireless phone charging for Touring or higher (not previously available on any model) and lane-keeping assist technology. Acceleration support and support for GT SP and above.
