When I installed my sound system, I noticed that the cables under the seats were firmly in place. I didn’t notice any poor wiring anywhere. However, did you disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes? Maybe you need some kind of system reset.

For future reference, if the battery starts to go bad, the CX-5 is the kind of car that prevents electrical gremlins, which will fix itself once a new battery is installed.

The service advisor just called and said “There is a code for the driver’s airbag” and stayed in the rental car (Mazda3).

Why Is My Airbag Light Flashing? (9 Reasons Why)
I had it last night after about 3 weeks, the timing spring was replaced. CD download was also done.
Not impressed, left scratches on steering wheel cover/corner that will have to be replaced when part arrives.
It has been showing up regularly for the past few weeks. I guess I’ll have to take it to the dealer.
Update: 30/09/2019 Left to seller. They gave us a loan. Then, later in the day, they call me again… well, that’s a shame. Apparently we had a lot of stuff in the glove box and it was hitting the airbag connectors on the dash. I think it should be designed so that this is not possible, but we should limit the things we put in the closet.

Sometimes a low battery can be the reason your airbag light stays on. A car battery can die at any time.
