Is Stitch Fix Worth It? I Reviewed The Service To Find Out
Start by taking the style quiz on the Stitch Fix website. You will be asked several questions during the test, including:
You will provide a lot of personal information during the test. (In fact, Stitch Fix collects “more than 90 important data points” in the initial style quiz alone.)
Stitch Fix asks you to enter your date of birth, height and weight. You will also be asked what sizes you usually wear in items such as shirts, jackets, pants and tops, how you describe your body type, and how your clothes fit.
After you complete the style quiz, Stitch Fix will match you with one of the more than 5,600 personal stylists they work with to begin your style journey.
Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Early Fall 2022 Review
You can sign up for regular delivery of Stitch Fix boxes, but this is not required.
As a default option, Stitch Fix asks customers to schedule a new Stitch Fix box for delivery every 2-3 weeks, every month, every two months, or every 3 months.
Stitch Fix also allows you to manually schedule deliveries. You can schedule one repair at a time.
I love that you don’t have to commit to any deliveries or recurring subscriptions, and that you can choose to receive your next box a week later or another date on the calendar.
A Stitch Of A Different Sort {stitch Fix Review}
You only have three days to return items you don’t want to keep before Stitch Fix charges your credit card.
This small response window is a feature of StitchFix, not a bug. As StitchFix pointed out to investors, the three-day settlement window helps customers “drive faster inventory changes.”
In comparison, Trunk Club gives you five days to return items you don’t want to keep. Vantable also gives customers five days to return select products.
When I ordered the second box, I realized that I had the option to extend the return period to 16 days after the original expiration date, so I had about three weeks to try my fix.
Stitch Fix Review: What To Know Before You Shop
Each box includes a postage-paid return envelope. Pack the items you wish to return in an envelope and return them as directed.
When I got my first box I didn’t realize you only had 3 days to return it or request an extension. I was glad I opened it on the third day, but I had very little time to evaluate them before returning them to the post office to meet the deadline.
Stitch Fix charges a $20 “styling fee” each time a stylist delivers a box. This $20 styling fee is non-refundable, although it does apply to offset the cost of any item you choose to put in the box (aka fix).
