How To Change Honda Civic Car Key Battery

How To Change Honda Civic Car Key Battery – A year seems like a short time. The CR2032 usually lasts at least 2-3 for me.

It should also start notifying you when your car battery is low. If my 2012 Prius does it, I’m sure the Civic will too. These 2032 batteries last 2 years in my mountain bike transmission and they get a few clicks a year lol

Just keep an extra CR2032 in the extra box/center console. You will receive a notification in the dashboard when the battery is low. It will look something like the image below:

Some advice: don’t buy those batteries cheap, the ones at the dollar store never last more than 3-6 months. You want legitimate Duracell/Energizer/Panasonic/Renata/Maxell batteries. Preferably made in Japan and don’t buy them from Amazon as they will be fake. Check with Wal-Mart or any big box store and make sure the expiration date is at least 5 years past.

I have used the Amazon Basics 2032 on a variety of bike sensors with no problems. I just warned about low battery after 2-3 years, but these sensors are more active than keys. The bike speed sensor communicates with the computer every cycle of the bike and the pulse belts are connected and running all the time. I ride about 350-400 hours a year before these batteries start working
