Clothing/Household Donations. Hi Neighbors, I usually donate to GOODWILL, unfortunately my donation was declined at the Sunland Foothills location. They said it was full. They referred me to Montrose and said they could accept my donation. I drove to Montrose and they refused to accept donations. I have beautiful clothes, household items and books. Bikes: Visitors can use Capital Bikeshare to visit the National Mall, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The closest bike share station to the monument is at 21st Street and Constitution Avenue NW. Note: Bicycles and motorized scooters are not permitted on the memorial sidewalks.

Car: Parking spaces are very limited, so we recommend using public transport. Parking on Constitution Avenue and many streets around the National Mall now have paid/metered parking in time-limited spaces. For more information, visit NPS.

Tour Buses: The nearest drop-off point for tour buses is at 21st Street NW at Constitution Ave NW, marked by signs. Tour bus parking is limited on Ohio Avenue.

Another organization that accepts donations for almost anything in good health is the Vietnam Veterans of America. VVA serves more than a dozen states, so you can schedule a pickup in up to 24 hours. This is a good option if you are moving fast or want to clear space as quickly as possible. Once you donate, your items will be sold and the proceeds will benefit local and national Vietnam Veterans of America programs.

Goodwill makes it so easy to donate big tickets, and the money from the resale of the donations helps support their diverse staff.

Before scheduling a pickup date, you must send photos of your products, which must be in good structural condition and free of pet hair and stains. They also have electronics, but they may not be more than two years old.
