Mazda Cx 30 2022 Hybrid – The 2022 Mazda CX-30 gets a modest price increase as well as a new mild-hybrid option and a Sport Touring SP.

Mazda Australia has increased the price of on-road CX-30 models by $200 as part of a wider price hike for April 2022.

The Mazda CX-30 range now starts at $29,590 for the on-road G20 Pure manual and extends to $47,690 on-road costs for the X20 Astina M Hybrid AWD.

Prices rose for the first time in November 2021, with most variations between $200 and $300, and again in February 2022, by $100.

The G20e powertrain is also used in the related MX-30, which is said to improve efficiency and make the idle stop/start experience smoother.

Another new unit joins the range in the form of the Touring SP and is available in the G20, G25 and G25 AWD.

Elsewhere in the range, the entry-level G20 Pure now gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, while the G20 Astina gets electric tilt and a sliding sunroof.

A new Platinum Quartz Gray exterior finish is now available on all trims, while the Pure White leather option has been extended to all exterior colors on the G20 and G25 Astina variants.

The Mazda CX-30 was the third best-selling small SUV from January to October 2021, with 11,329 units sold. It was sold only in the Mitsubishi ASX (12,087) and MG ZS (14,867).

The G25 models are powered by a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 139kW and 252Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. They are available with front or four-wheel drive.

The X20 Astina is powered by a 2.0-litre SkyActive-X supercharged petrol engine that produces 132kW and 223Nm, mated to a 24V mild-hybrid system. It has four-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

All 2022 Mazda CX-30 models can drink 91 RON regular unleaded gasoline, except for the X20, which needs 95 RON.

Front-wheel drive models have a 51 L fuel tank, while four-wheel drive and X20 variants have a 48 L fuel tank.

G25 models have upgraded to a 2.5-litre non-turbo petrol four-cylinder that delivers 139kW and 252Nm to front or all four wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard. With cylinder deactivation on board, combined fuel consumption is 6.6 l/100 km with front wheels or 6.8 l/100 km with all wheels.

The X20 Astina is powered by Mazda’s 2.0-litre SkyActive-X four-cylinder petrol engine, with advanced spark compression ignition, a 24-volt electrical system and a compact electric charger capable of producing 132kW and 224Nm. With standard all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission, the X20 claims a SIP of 6.0L/100km on the combined cycle.

All models support 91 RON standard unleaded fuel except the X20 which requires 95 RON. Fuel tanks range from 51 liters on all front-wheel drive models to 48 liters on the G25 and X20 all-wheel drive variants.
