The LP NL lock works with a six-digit code. When pressed, each key is confirmed by a sound and LED signal. After entering the correct code, a double signal will appear. An incorrect input is followed by a long signal. After 10 seconds of no input, the currently entered code will be cancelled. The lock comes standard with a night light. To activate the light, press the light on the bottom left of the keyboard before entering your code.

The old combination lock on my safe was not working and had to be replaced. I contacted customer service and they responded in a timely manner. I ordered a replacement electric lock from Liberty at a great price and it was delivered within a week. Not even a week and so far working great.

Every time I put my thumb or finger in this thing pops open. If you have any brains, you can install it yourself. If you’re looking for an easy way to unlock your safe, this is the answer. This is a great biometric electronic lock. I don’t understand the other 2 reviews; They may have had problems, but that wasn’t Boot’s fault. Mine worked fine out of the box😊. Before installing it, I watched YouTube videos and read instructions. No problem, no problem. You can use a code or your fingerprint with this lock!
If you hide it later in life, you reset the reset code as suggested earlier, so only you (the secure owner) can get that code from the folks at Liberty so you can reset it. Return to factory and restart. It’s like having a safe for your own lock 😉
Common Problems With Electronic Safe Locks
I had a dial key that stopped working properly after a few years. It opens 60-70% of the time. The final point was that I couldn’t open the safe to find my passport the night before the trip. After confirming with Liberty, I ordered a replacement key from Securam ScanLogic. (They responded quickly.) A local locksmith only charged me $150 to come out and install it. Now all I have to do is put my finger on the reader and it works. I’m sure I can use the code as a backup. I am absolutely delighted with the progress.
