The car is said to belong to a neighbor who retired from the farm long ago and is now used for parades. Now it’s a one and a half ton flatbed, but when it’s used as a farm truck it could be a wood side or another setup.

Surprisingly, this color is supposed to be the original color and looks like it. The ad says everything works except the gas gauge and the jack under the car (not sure what that means – what does it mean it’s a bunk bed in the first place?).
I think this international will still retire. Fun to drive for a short distance, but too beautiful and original to be used as a working car anymore. It’s large, so future buyers will need storage space. As attractive as it is, the number of potential buyers is now very limited and I suspect the sale price will be very high.
Still, it’s a nice old car and hopefully the buyer will continue its parade mission, where the new generation can see examples of trucks from the “old days”.
If you are interested in purchasing this truck, Venango is located in western Nebraska. The nearest major airport is Denver. Unless you live nearby, it will take some effort to restore this old charm if you buy it. ** 1-Owner ** From a new car. It originated as a Texas State Farm truck and was retired in a field near San Antonio Texas. The current owner has located it and for over 10 years has driven the 1939 GMC AC302 1.5 ton truck to its beautiful factory, very difficult to retrieve green apples in time. New OEM parts used through reconditioning – no spare parts. Converted to 12V generator with new wiring and fuses. I believe it is the most beautiful thing in life to restore and change the original size. Original number matching GMC 228 engine with high pressure (up to 80 PSI), fuel system unlike CHEVY, PONTIAC and other GM models of the era with a 40 PSI system. 6V positive ground system is converted to 12V negative ground system for safety, including 12V WIPER electric motor, original generator and new voltage regulator, 2 wires, SISTOR circuit and ignition. Original 6v gauge and horn. The gauges were professionally repaired and a 6V voltage drop was applied to protect them. Added old glass FUSES under the dashboard to protect the wiring. Brake shoes are original metal parts that are restored and repainted in the old style. Refurbishment / Reconstruction of the main cylinder shaft. All front and rear cushions are original motion pads. Proper oil seals are used for internal and external seals.
