This is the second generation Mazda CX-9, built on Mazda’s new SkyActiv platform and unrelated to the previous generation. This unit is from the 2018 model year and its design follows Mazda’s Kodo philosophy. Mazda tried to improve every aspect of the CX-9 during the first generation, and it shows in full here.
With only one engine and gearbox option, there weren’t many (if any) options. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 231 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque.
