New Mazda Cx 30 2020 – Mazda is unveiling its fourth crossover for 2020, which means the cars will soon be in the lineup.
Given your position between the CX-3 and CX-5, the new Mazda CX-30 will not replace the former, at least not yet. The idea is to keep the CX-3 around for a while to offer budget customers a more affordable option. But given the lack of success of this model in North America (only 19,000 units were sold in the US last year compared to 12,500 in Canada), you can believe that a second generation is not in the plans.

Sales of the new Mazda 3 have fallen sharply, largely due to declining interest in conventional cars, although they now offer all-wheel drive. With the addition of the CX-30, Mazda hopes to increase sales, and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if it becomes the most popular sedan in a few years.
As a luxury sedan, the CX-30 comes in three Mazda3 trim levels: GX, GS, and GT. The sample signature above has not yet been published, but it appears on the table.

When you get behind the wheel, this car will feel every bit as good as the Mazda3. Yes, we tested the fully loaded GT model, but even the lower model is above average in terms of fit and finish. The seats are well designed, the driving position is perfect and all the touch points are memorable. The designers paid a lot of attention to the sensitivity of the buttons and different controls to create a pleasant experience that inspires confidence.
The lack of distortion and explosions is the result of excellent material selection and good assembly, not to mention the lack of full sunlight for durability.
With a Bose audio system, large leather-wrapped speakers and heated and ventilated seats, the Mazda CX-30 compares well with more expensive competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, for example. On the GT model, you also get a head-up display, heated steering wheel, memory seats, automatic transmission, and a navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Of course, the audio dealer will be in the middle of the GS, which also has a lot of equipment. But there’s no denying that Mazda is pushing the market well and targeting more discerning customers.

If you’re trying to drive the GS or GT, you’ll love the 2.5-liter engine that produces 187 horsepower, enough to power all but the Kona 1.6T.
It goes without saying that a larger powertrain with AWD requires more fuel at the pump. Average consumption is 8.5-9.0 l/100 km. You should note that the GT features cylinder deactivation technology to save a little gas under light loads.

When driving the Mazda CX-30, I wondered what it would be like with the 2.5-liter turbo engine found in the Mazda6 and CX-9. I’m not saying the GT isn’t powerful, but a signature model coming with such an engine would pose a serious challenge to the German compact SUVs, especially the Audi Q3, BMW X1/X2 and the aforementioned GLA. Even with a price increase of up to $38,000, the CX-30 will be $10,000 to $15,000 cheaper than those luxury names. Of course, the Mazda logo doesn’t have the same prestige as the four rings or the silver star, but other than that, you won’t be missing anything.
The CX-30 is a joy to drive. The strong chassis and well-balanced suspension allow for good control of the car and the road, while the visual cues make things very interesting (only the BMW X1 and X2 score higher in this department). Mazda engineers also focused on keeping the sound. You can hear the distinctive sound of the 2.5-liter engine during acceleration, but at cruising speeds it is incredibly quiet. In fact, Mazda says the CX-30 is quieter than the CX-5.
The brakes are also much better than the CX-3, both in terms of pedal feel and stopping distance. The only problem here may be longevity, as evidenced by the new number of Mazda3 owners who are now having to replace their brakes. Could Mazda’s exhaust control system be to blame? As explained above, this feature improves control and stability and reduces the driver’s need to press the brake pedal to automatically stop the front brake during cornering. One thing’s for sure: the CX-30’s brakes work well, unlike many early Mazdas.
Things get a little hotter in the small SUV segment, than in the car segment. Every company offers at least one and most have two. Volkswagen will soon replace the Golf SportWagen with a new model that sits below the Tiguan.

Where is the Mazda CX-30? It feels good to be sitting on the podium next to the Kona and Crosstrek. These three cars are closely followed by the Honda HR-V and the Nissan Qashqai, two that are slightly older and still interesting.
