A new exterior colour, Platinum Quartz Metallic, joins the range – now also available on Mazda 2, Mazda 3, CX-30 and CX-8.

The sTouring, Akari and Akari LE trims also get a high-gloss black finish as part of this minor update.

Don’t be fooled by the sales price report, find out what other people have paid for a Mazda CX-3, see the real price of a used Mazda CX-3 (MK1, 2015-2020) – how practical is it? While the front seats are comfortable, the Mazda CX-3 is a bit cramped in the rear. In addition, the trunk is small

Despite its bulky appearance, the Mazda CX-3 is a compact car; It’s no bigger than the Mazda 2 supermini it’s based on. Those sleek dimensions give it an advantage in the city, where it’s easy to maneuver in and out of tight parking spaces, for example, but that doesn’t mean the interior is particularly spacious.

The CKS-3 is slightly larger than the old Nissan Juke, measuring 4,275 mm in length and 1,765 mm in width, with a 2,570 mm wheelbase. The Juke is 4,135 mm long and 1,765 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,530 mm. But when you compare the CX-3’s dimensions to the bigger Mazda CX-5, which measures 4,555mm long and 1,840mm wide, it’s no surprise that there isn’t much room inside.

Mazda Cx 3 Interior Dimensions: Seating, Cargo Space & Trunk Size

But the small crossover plays a good visual trick on the road, not much bigger than its best-selling Nissan rival. Maybe it’s because it’s just 1,535mm tall compared to the Juke’s 1,565mm. Its relatively low stance is key to the CX-3’s sporty feel behind the wheel.

Up front, the CX-3 is very comfortable. The seats are supportive and sit very low, and the steering wheel is adjustable for reach and tilt, so the driver or front passenger can easily find the perfect seating position. A switch from a manual handbrake to an electric parking brake for 2018 frees up space at the front end for a more comfortable feel.

However, this is not the case with the rear seats. Rear legroom measures just 888mm, which is no better than the Mazda 2 and lags behind some of its main rivals in the crossover class. The rear of the CX-3 is too cramped for a growing family.

Boot capacity is in line with the crossover class average of 350 litres, although, like most of its rivals, it’s much smaller than you’d get in a more affordable compact hatchback, and doesn’t swallow up the car’s boot. A family of four.

Suv Review: 2021 Mazda Cx 3

There’s a little practical help though – the boot has an adjustable floor so you can load shallow stuff under the removable floorboard, and it provides a flat cargo floor when the seats are folded down. Doing that, you get a maximum of 1,260 liters of luggage.

One area where the range-topping CX-3 Sport Nav falls short is boot space. There is a powerful Bose sound system, a loudspeaker in the luggage compartment, which reduces the capacity above the seats from 350 to 287 liters. However, there is good storage space under the floor and 1,197 liters with the rear seats folded down.

Mazda’s godo design means the CX-3 inherits slick styling cues from the 2 superminis, 6 family cars and the MKS-5 roadster. Sport Nav models get additional visual enhancements with larger 18-inch alloy wheels (two inches larger than SE Nav and SE-L Nav cars), LED headlights and rear window privacy glass.

While the interior of the Mazda CX-3 looks a little simpler than most crossovers — the company’s designers were clearly aiming for the sporty feel found in the rest of the model range — the interior styling is fundamentally similar to the Mazda 2 and 3.

Mazda Cx 3 2.0 150ps Awd Sport Nav Review

The instrument display is based on a simple hatch that will be familiar to owners of other recent models in the Mazda range, while a seven-inch color touchscreen dominates the center of the dashboard. In fact, the styling is very similar to the old RX-8 coupe, although there is a lot of technology inside.

Quality is excellent, and buyers can add leather and contrasting stitching to the wishlist if they have the budget to squeeze. But even in stock guise, the CX-3 has a solid, well-built feel.

The seven-inch infotainment system in the CKS-3 is used in Mazda’s lineup. It’s not the easiest or most intuitive system to use, but with sat-nav, Bluetooth and DAP standard, including three annual European map updates, it offers a good level of functionality.

The Rotary Multimedia Commander controller is very easy to use and easier to use than touchscreen systems, and has hotkeys for switching to key areas of the system. However, the menu layout isn’t very logical, and simple tasks like entering a destination or changing DAB stations require too much input. The graphics aren’t as sharp as its competitors’ systems.

Road Test Review

The Sport Nav model also benefits from a seven-speaker Bose stereo, and while it comes at the expense of luggage space, it offers at least powerful sound for a system in a small car. While the infotainment screen sits nicely in the eye-line at the top of the dash, the Sport nav’s standard color head-up display is also a useful feature.

Focus on the GT Sport model launched in 2017. Only 500 examples were made, each receiving a special bodykit, new leather upholstery and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Mazda CX-3 received a four-star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash testing in 2015. Safety for adults was rated at 85 percent, while the rating for child passengers was lower at 79 percent. Pedestrian safety rating reached 84 percent and Safety Assist reached 64 percent.

Standard equipment across the range includes electronic stability control, six airbags, hill hold assist and emergency braking.
