But the latest version of the Charge 5 will soon increase with more smart devices when Google apps are included. The company just announced the launch of the Fitbit Charge 6, which will add a suite of Google services to the fitness tracker, including Google Maps, Google Wallet and YouTube Music.

The Fitbit Charge 6 is the same as the Fitbit Charge 5, with a slim design, except for a physical button on the side that makes it easy to go back to the home screen and see the time (don’t worry about touch pointers and capacitive buttons like previous Fitbit models).

Plus, you get all the features you’d expect from a fitness tracker, including ECG, high and low heart rate alerts, blood oxygen monitoring, and irregular heart rate alerts. -rhythm, period tracking and more. You get access to the EDA stress sensor and sleep tracking with a good sleep index.
Like the Charge 5, you get up to seven days of battery life, access to an always-on display, and hands-free calling, texting, and email. Of course, it supports the new and improved Fitbit app.

The Fitbit Charge 6 comes in three different colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, and Coral. The Fitbit Charge 6 will cost £139.99 at launch – £30 less than the starting price of the Fitbit Charge 5. It’s up for pre-order in the UK today, with the tracker starting to ship on 12 October.

The Future Of Fitbit Doesn’t Look Good
Fitbit announced the Charge 6 on September 28, 2023, and pre-orders will go live on the same day. The newest fitness club will open on October 12, 2023.

As mentioned in the previous section, the Fitbit Charge 6 has all the features of the Charge 5. This includes heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, built-in GPS, SpO2 monitoring, AFib monitoring, ECG sensor, EDA sensor and elevator. However, like the Charge 5, it doesn’t have an altimeter.

The Fitbit Charge 6 will arrive on September 28, 2023 for $159. That’s a lot lower than the Charge 5’s original MSRP of $179. Considering the many new features, this is good news.

However, $159 is a bit pricey for a fitness tracker. You can save money and use a cheap tracker. The Fitbit Charge 5 ($134 at Amazon) is a bit more affordable. As far as fitness trackers go, the Fitbit Charge 6 is the best product in the company’s range. To get a good one, you need to upgrade to the Sense 2, which is more like a smartwatch. The Charge 6 has a color screen, 40 workout modes, and Fitbit’s best heart rate monitor.
The Fitbit Charge 6’s most significant design change is the addition of a physical button. Like Fitbit with the Sense 2 and Versa 4, the Charge feature has reverted to using a standard button instead of the capacitive groove of previous models. However, apart from this important design change, the rest of the tracker is a perfect fit for the Charge 5.
The Fitbit Charge 6 itself (without the strap) comes in just three colors: Black Aluminum, Silver Aluminum, and Champagne Gold Aluminum. Out of the box, the black aluminum model comes with an obsidian infinity strap. The Porcelain Collection comes in a silver aluminum model, while the Coral Infinity series comes in a champagne color aluminum model.

Fitbit advertises the battery life of the Charge 6 as the Charge 5. In other words, Fitbit promises seven days of battery life on a single charge. However, to get the most out of your battery, you need to limit your tracker usage.
Always on Display (AOD) must be disabled; you have to do a limited number of exercises, receive very few letters, etc. , number of notifications, set of lessons, etc., you should expect between three and seven days of battery life depending on your activities. We managed three days with AOD activated, which is better than Fitbit suggests. This is good news.
The Fitbit Charge 6 takes two hours to fully discharge. You charge it using a proprietary magnetic charger – the same one that comes with the Charge 5. There’s no electronic charger or any other way to charge it outside of the phone itself. There are no plugs in the box.
