The biggest advantage of a car seat bag is that it protects the car seat from whatever happened in the cargo bank the last time you checked it. The advantage of this is that you lose the car seat as a place to carry some of the things you might carry with you through the airport.

Some are made specifically for car seats. The two most popular types are the Brick Roll ‘n Go Car Seat Carrier and the GoGo Babyz Kidz Travelmate. With similar price and similar construction, it is specifically designed for car seat transportation and travel use, including the safe transportation of a child in a car seat. Both fold very well and are easy to store.
The advantages are obvious: Car seats are made for safely hauling children and traveling. There are plenty of other luggage carts that will do the job, and if you want something a little heavier, there are many options available that cost a little or a lot more.
The main disadvantage of the luggage cart is that they are not made for car seats, so it may take a while for your car seat to fit properly and securely in the luggage cart. I place the car seat on the floor of the luggage cart facing out, then loop the luggage cord through the front seatbelt path, wrap it around the back of the car, and wrap it around the top of the cart again.
