Question guys… So I want to install the auxiliary cable in the picture below that I can connect to the audio input (red / white) on the back of the navigation system. is it correct? I bought it very cheaply through Amazon and basically it should let me play music from my iPod / cell phone.
I removed the navi plate and there is a blue connector, it doesn’t seem to have changed anything.
I completely deleted Navi today. ROCKING the device (from under the passenger seat) for about 10 minutes to see if turning it off would “reset” it…no luck. (With this disabled, the Navi screen did not open when I started the car).

The best solution IMHO is to do what I did four years ago: install the GTA car kit (get the pure bluetooth version). Worth every penny, it provides great sound, retains all the features of the existing DVD and audio system (including missing the subwoofer), easy-to-use steering wheel controls, easy DIY installation from their video, and excellent customer support. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. In addition to music and my phone, I get voice directions on Google Maps and Wiz through the car audio system. Better than the old stock Nav IMHO.

At this point, while I’m willing to keep the old features even by adding an upgrade or modification, if I had a Navi unit, I’d replace it with a more modern one. This Navi unit is like booting your computer into Windows 98 or at best XP or Vista, IMHO.
