There is a valve on each side that controls the flow of coolant through 3 threaded ports in the manifold. During refrigerant charging, the valve near the LP side opens and refrigerant flows in liquid phase from the cooler box (stored at high pressure like your LPG cylinder) into the system (low pressure side). The central manifold has a gauge glass that shows coolant flow while charging the setup.

Quick connectors are provided to connect hoses to the LP and HP ports of the machine. They are also color coded – blue for the LP side and red for the HP side.
Quick pairing is messy because the openings are different. The LP quick connector has a smaller opening while the HP has a larger opening. We cannot set the wrong mount on the port.

The LP gauge reading is fine, but as seen from the HP gauge, the 135 psi reading is low and indicates that the HP/exhaust side is not getting enough coolant flow.

The yellow pipe now contains a mixture of ambient air + refrigerant. Air/moisture is not good for the system and should be removed from the line before charging. Slowly open the yellow hose connector at the end of the manifold to bleed air from the hose until coolant comes out.
You will see liquid phase coolant flowing into the manifold through the measuring glass:
Shut off valve. All coolant from the box should not be poured into the system at one time!
Excessive cooling causes more harm than good – it affects cooling performance, can damage the compressor, valves and seals. Be careful not to open the LP valve all the way at once!
