The Graco SnugRider Elite runs in the middle of the pack with unimpressive performance. While it scored above average in reviews, it didn’t shine on any metrics, and we expect more from a Graco-branded stroller that only works with Graco car seats. It offers unwieldy storage space, a shallow cup holder that poses potential safety issues, and a car seat mount that requires more effort than it should for a product designed specifically with its car seat brand in mind. . Overall, these Graco products have limitations, including Graco compatibility, poor maneuverability, and low ratings for ease of use and quality. We think that even if you already have a Graco car seat, it’s better to use another stroller and a Graco adapter.

In 1942 in Philadelphia, Russell Gray and Robert Cone launched an automotive manufacturing shop known as Graco. Gray then left and Cone hired David Saint, an engineer, to design a product line aimed at infants. The first item is a baby cradle inspired by using an outdoor glider to soothe a colleague’s newborn. The unique crib sold millions and put Graco on the map as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of baby equipment.

The Graco SnugRider Elite, shown here with the Graco Snugride Classic Connect 30 attached, did not perform well in our quality tests.

SnugRider is simple when it comes to easy installation in the car seat. For a product designed specifically for your brand of car seat, you’d think it would be easier to install a Graco seat on the Graco SnugRider.

We tested our SnugRider with the Graco SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35. Both seats should click into place when placed on the frame with light pressure. We had the same problem with both seeming to lock properly but not really connected when we pulled the handle. The back of the carrier attaches easily, so parents think it’s secure, but in our tests we had to push more on the bottom of the carrier to lock the bottom. Even when we hear an audible click, it’s not always secure, so we recommend parents pull the carry handle to determine if installation is complete.

The Click Connect 35 is attached to the SnugRider in the same way as it is attached to the base of the car seat.

Graco Comfy Cruiser Stroller, 2015

As this product is made for a child car seat, the bracket is unfortunately difficult to install. We’ve had some of the same issues with other strollers, but it’s usually a conflicting canopy or seat fabric that prevents connection. Since this is not an issue here, it ends up looking like the two products were not designed for each other.

The Snugrider Elite weighs 13.3 pounds, which is heavy for a frame product and only 1 pound less than the larger and more versatile UPPAbaby Cruz.

Since new moms are often limited in how much they can lift, we think weight and size are what make strollers so useful. SnugRider is one of the best groups for this measure. The Elite weighs 13.3 pounds, one of the lightest of the bunch. The SnugRide measures approximately 6,473 cubic inches when folded, making it the smallest option in the review.

We prefer the single front wheel design of the SnugRider to the dual wheel design found on many cheaper stroller options.

Most strollers with plastic wheels suffer when it comes to maneuverability. We like that Graco abandoned the dual front wheel design, but it doesn’t improve maneuverability enough to score well.

Graco has a noticeable flex in the frame that lifts the front wheel off the ground when pushed. This product handles flat and hard surfaces quite well and can make sharp turns and fit through narrow doorways. It can go off-road, but cornering is a chore and not something we recommend.

The SnugRider has an adjustable handlebar that pivots on a hinge to increase height, bringing taller users closer to the stroller and creating a rear axle kick.

The steering wheel can be adjusted at the pivot point. The bar itself is flat with a rubber cover that looks hard to clean and gets dirty easily. We didn’t like the feel of the handle when pushing, and the flat bars would be uncomfortable on longer rides.

The wheels on this cart are plastic with foam padding. It is larger than what is found in other framing products and feels solid and sturdy. The wheels spin freely with little resistance and no visible angulation. The larger size feels bulky and hinders the better maneuverability it doesn’t offer. It has a four-wheel suspension that in combination with larger wheels and a flexible frame

The SnugRider’s storage space is quite large, but difficult to access from almost any angle except the top without a car seat.

Graco is not easy to use. Ease of use is a difficult category for products that by design lack some of the key features and performance considered by this metric.

The Graco folds easily with one hand. It has two steps, automatic locking, self-support and a carrying handle. The trolley rolls like luggage once folded. Opening the Graco is also easy in two steps.

The SnugRider has a double-acting brake that requires more steps to set than the single-acting option, making it riskier, in our opinion, if parents forget to set both sides or choose not to.

The SnugRider brakes are double acting, requiring the use of two pedals to activate. Our concern is that parents may get distracted and forget about the second pedal or accidentally choose not to activate it, thinking it’s not 100% necessary. The brakes are easy to use, easy to release and fit with sandal feet.

The Graco storage compartment is quite large, but thanks to poor access, we could only fit our medium sized diaper bag. It provides access to the bins from the front and back, but neither works with the built-in conveyor. There is an excess of £10, but we suspect you have to put items in bins one at a time rather than in bags. This design can be a problem if you need to fold the cart to get on the bus and have random supplies to hold. It has a zippered pocket inside the storage compartment to carry keys, phone and wallet without fear of them being lost or stolen.

The main console of the SnugRider has 2 shallow cup holders and a small storage compartment that doesn’t fit several smartphones we tested.

The 7 Best Graco Strollers

Graco has two cup holders that sit high and behind baby in the parent console. The handle is 2.25 inches deep and several items fell out during our tests. We found the cup holder too shallow to use for fear of it falling on the baby.

Graco is easy to install and earns the group’s second-highest score for ease of installation.

The SnugRider does not require much assembly, making it easy to install. Unlike some frame products, this one comes pretty much assembled. It took us less than 6 minutes to set it up for use. The documentation is simple and much more complicated than the Chicco Keyfit Caddy, with color-coded instructions that make it easy to find your language. We think it would be easier to make a separate section for each language, but color coding is better than nothing.

The Graco frame has many plastic components that hinder the overall fit and finish. Although the plastic parts look sturdy, the exaggerated connection points create too much flexibility in the structure, making it seem like the whole thing might fall apart. There were a lot of open holes where the parts connected, and some of the plastic parts still had plastic chips when we assembled them, showing a lack of attention to detail in the manufacturing.

The basket cloth feels thin and collects dirt easily. The mains part is good for visibility, but it is fragile. The material does not fit and looks like a shirt that has been in the basket for a long time. We buy every product we test – no corporate gifts. The Graco Jetsetter is a lightweight stroller that works with the Graco Click Connect car seat. The stroller comes with an adapter that fits the stroller frame and works without a handle. The connection is easy, but we installed it a few times and thought it was connected, when it wasn’t. The stroller is light and compact, which makes it easy to transport and store almost anywhere. Unfortunately, Jetsetter is not easy to use
