The Mazdaspeed differs from the regular Mazda 3 with updated gauges and front sport seats with standard leather upholstery and cloth inserts. The red dot trim pattern is reminiscent of a 1990s Nike jersey (not a good thing, in our opinion), and the cabin as a whole feels a bit aftermarket compared to a Ford Focus ST or Volkswagen GTI. Braking and handling are excellent. The action was better than I expected. The technical cleanup and new movement pattern put me on a learning curve. The driver’s seat is comfortable. Power…was terrible in 1st and 2nd, torque steer but manageable. Third and above the current flow is good. Even the 6 has the power to cruise at high speeds. The ad shows 29.4 mpg highway, paper/pencil 28.9. Good for the new high-speed electric train. A great city car for 1 or 2 people. Can’t beat the price!
I own a lot of sports cars and the most impressive car in recent memory is the 02 BMW 330C. However, after having this car for a few weeks now, I can confirm that it is a better and cheaper car than the 3 series. I test drove the new Subaru VRX this morning and plan to continue with the MS3. Surprisingly, the MS3 was the next best seller…I drove it. The main reason I don’t like the VRX is that the transmission is a bit shaky, the MS3s transmission is solid. Also, the MS3 has more space than the VRX. Its back seat can fit two child seats comfortably! Thanks to the MS3, even a family man can drive the ultimate sports car! Again
