It was the last hot hatch produced by Mazda before leaving Ford. Its compact size and powerful engine were impressive at the time.

The otherwise frugal and simple Mazda 3 has more siblings. It is the fastest Mazda 3 and promises to challenge other hot hatches in the market.

Hello, Just Wanting To Show Off My Mps3 Sedan

Front-wheel drive tropicals are still at the top of their game. Cars like Golf GTI, Focus ST or Honda Civic Type R are very valuable in the market. The Megane RS is considered the king of them all. But Japan soon came close.

The Mazda 3 MPS is offered in regular, 5-door, and hatchback guises. The engine has been slightly raised to make room for the larger fridge. The rear roof spoiler is larger than the regular version. The only two details that make a difference are the larger alloy wheels and the larger rear exhaust.

Inside, the car gets a new design with sporty bucket seats and a dashboard similar to the rest of the range. The colors used on the aluminum pedals and dashboard are some of the interior details.

The big difference is under the hood. There, four engines with turbochargers and 260 horsepower. The car is front-wheel drive and has a standard front self-locking differential to prevent wheel spin. Because of this, the car becomes very violent when turning a corner and stepping on the gas pedal. The six-speed manual is clear, but not as smooth as some of its competitors. There is no automatic item in the options menu. The fully independent suspension was equipped with stiffer damping than its siblings, which were simply economical and family-oriented bikes. The Mazda 6 MPS arrived in Australia earlier this year with a price tag of around $49,000 without causing any drama. . Of course it’s powered by a 2.3-litre turbocharged engine that produces 190kw of power and 380Nm of torque, giving the Subaru WRX a run for its money, but boringly so. Mazda seems to have gone out of its way to make the Mazda 6 MPS look more like a sports car than a regular Mazda 6! The spoiler is downsized, the wheels look like they’ve been “unused” from an old Ford parts box, and essentially the car is uninspiring.

Understandably, this car is aimed at executive types who like to watch rally cars and Formula 1, and people who would consider buying a Subaru WRX STi if the hood isn’t too big and the spoiler is small. In other words, they wanted a car they could sell to middle-aged people who wanted a fast turbo with AWD, while not telling everyone about it.

The Mazda 3 MPS is another story, and no longer aimed at middle-aged businessmen, the new 3 hot hatch is set to set the market on fire as the new Mazda 3 range prepares to return. The Mazda 3 MPS starts at $39,990, and Mazda claims 70% of Mazda 3 MPS sales (starting at 130 vehicles per month). For those who really want to spend $3,700 more, the 3 MPS Sport Package model costs $43,690.

“With class-leading power and dynamics, the Mazda 3 MPS is the perfect flagship for the hugely successful Mazda 3 range and a great addition to our MPS stable,” Mazda Australia managing director Doug Dixon said.

Climate control Cruise control Dynamic stability control Six airbags (front, side and curtain) 18-inch alloy wheels Fog lights

Optional extras include half-leather trim for sport seats and headlamps. If you want, you can upgrade to a BOSE sound system, which I don’t recommend, because you can get a better sounding, built-in, later system for a lower price!

The Mazda 3 MPS uses the same 190KW 2.3-litre turbocharged engine, and although it weighs around 200kg more than the Mazda 6 MPS, the 3C has a top speed of just over 100km/h in 6.1 seconds. 250 kilometers per hour. However, it gets a weight advantage not only because of its size, but because the Mazda 3 MPS is still.. front wheel drive. Yes, shock. If the 2.5-liter turbocharged Ford XR5 doesn’t scare away the front-wheel-drive platform, it certainly does at $5,000. Or maybe not?

The good folks at Mazda point out that putting a turbocharged engine in a front-wheel-drive car isn’t the smartest idea in the world if it doesn’t have all the equipment for car safety. That’s why they threw in the equipment, so you get a limited-slip differential and electronic control with engine torque control as well as stability and traction control. You also get Cornering Sensors, which reduce torque and send power to the inside wheels when cornering with a limited-slip differential (found in the Mazda RX8 and Mazda MX5).

The Mazda 3’s interior is darkly decorated with red stitching on the sports seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter. Also included are aluminum pedals and stainless steel kick plates. If you forget you’re driving, there’s an MPS logo on the seat.
