Air Fryer Hot Pocket
I love this easy hot pocket fryer recipe, but if you want to make it at home, you can make it with a few simple ingredients.
You’ll need a box of pizza dough, whether you make your own homemade pizza dough or puff pastry, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, small pepperoni slices, and an egg wash and water to help seal the pockets.
Use a large cookie cutter to cut the dough for the pockets. Cover the dough with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and then place another piece of dough.
Use the tip of a fork to seal the edges of the hot pocket. Brush the top of the hot pocket with egg.
Air Fryer Frozen Hot Pockets
Place the hot pockets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry the pizza pockets at 350°F for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and lightly crisped. Halfway through the cooking process, gently flip the Homemade Hot Pockets.
Store leftover hot pockets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat hot pockets, place them back in the air fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
As with homemade pizza, you can add your favorite pizza toppings inside the Hot Pocket. Consider additional healthy ingredients like deli, ham, pineapple, bell peppers, chopped onions, or even mushrooms. It all depends on you!
You can use different products like plain homemade pizza dough, prepared pizza dough, puff pastry and roll dough. I find the consistency works best with canned or homemade pizza dough, but it’s up to you.

Keeping the hot pockets in one layer and leaving space between each pocket allows hot air to circulate throughout the fryer and fry the hot pockets evenly.
Do not preheat the fryer with parchment paper or foil or it may be carried by the heating element due to air circulation. After heating the fryer, always place parchment paper or foil in the basket before adding food.

Can Hot Pockets be placed in an Air Fryer? It is possible! This is a simple recipe that requires little preparation.
Place a hot pocket in the bottom of the air fryer basket. If your fryer basket is large enough, you can fit two warming pockets inside. Don’t forget to leave space between two meals. Bake the hot pocket for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the outside.
Tip: Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as queso or tomato marinara. Or sprinkle parmesan or mozzarella cheese on top for extra flavor.
Not all air fryers are the same! Be sure to keep an eye on the hot pocket when you cook it for the first time so you know the correct cooking time. We love this method on top of the crispy sleeve. I think it toughens it up on the outside without being too hard.
