Mazda Cx 30 Gets Price Hike Of Up To $2,045
The 2.5 S is the Mazda CX-30’s base trim level, but it’s still packed with features you’re sure to love. It comes standard with an 8-speaker sound system paired with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces for a premium audio experience on the road.
Standard tech features include Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go technology, a 12-volt power outlet, 2 USB audio inputs and an 8.8-inch center display. Additionally, there are variable intermittent rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic on/off headlights.
Finally, because Mazda doesn’t compromise on safety regardless of trim level, the 2.5S comes with plenty of standard safety features. These include lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver alert, intelligent brake assist and a rear monitor that shows everything behind the vehicle when you reverse.
With so many standard features on the 2.5 S, Mazda has to up its game for you to consider upgrading to the 2.5 S Select – and it won’t disappoint. The 2.5 S Select has everything the 2.5 S has, with some notable upgrades.
Road Test Review
You can see the difference before you even get into the vehicle with three additional exterior color options, a roof rack, rear privacy glass, side mirrors with integrated turn signals and larger 18-inch wheels.
But the difference does not stop with external appearance. The black cloth interior has been upgraded to black leather and has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter. In addition, there is a center rear armrest and individual air conditioning vents at the rear of the vehicle.
The climate control system now uses a dual-zone setup, and perhaps the most noticeable difference for this Mazda CX-30 trim is the addition of blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. It’s a great safety feature that many drivers want to upgrade to.
The 2.5 S Preferred is an upgrade from the 2.5 S Select, and one of the first things you’ll notice about this trim level is the power sunroof. It works with a one-touch open and close design, a premium feature you can’t get in lower trim levels.

But while that’s the most noticeable difference at first glance, it’s not the only thing the 2.5 S Preferred can’t get with the Select. Other notable differences include heated front seats and an 8-way swivel driver’s seat.
You also get a little more storage with an overhead console with sunglasses holder that you don’t get on other trim levels. Finally, while you can still get a black leather interior, you can also opt for a gray leather interior if you want.
The 2.5S Carbon Edition stands out as a unique choice among Mazda CX-30 equipment in several ways. First, it comes with everything the 2.5 S Preferred has in terms of technology and comfort features, but there are some noticeable differences in appearance.
First, you can only get the 2.5S Carbon Edition with a Polymetallic Gray Metallic exterior. This color option is no longer available until the 2.5 Turbo Premium and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trim levels. Additionally, this is the only trim level with a red leather interior.

Finally, although most of the differences compared to the 2.5 S Carbon Edition are external, there is one functional difference – heated mirrors.
The Premium 2.5 S returns to standard trim levels, featuring everything the 2.5 S Preferred has and then some. But all the extra features from the 2.5 S Carbon Edition are gone, including the heated mirrors.
But while heated mirrors are no longer available on this trim level, there are plenty of other features. You can choose between a black or white leather interior and it has Mazda’s navigation system integrated into the center display.
There’s also a full-colour Active Driving Display projected onto the windscreen and it’s first-rate equipment with road sign recognition to make sure you don’t miss anything on the road.

Finally, the Adaptive Front Lighting System appears on this trim level, which is the first trim level to include a powered rear tailgate.
The big improvement with the 2.5 Turbo Premium lives up to its name – turbo. It’s the same engine, but with a turbocharger, power increases from 191 to 250 horsepower for a more responsive ride.
But while the performance department is a big improvement, that’s not all you get by upgrading to the 2.5 Turbo Premium. Sound systems are available from 8 speakers to 12 speakers with Bose sound systems. Carbon Edition heated side mirrors return, along with a heated steering wheel.
The 2.5 turbo Premium Plus is a fully loaded CX-30 and comes with everything you’d expect from a premium vehicle. It has everything that the Premium 2.5 turbo has, and then Mazda adds some high-tech features.
