I love the MAC Retro Matte Liquid formula. It is very easy to use because of the creamy texture and you get full pigmentation in one swipe. The tool has a tip, so it’s very easy to create a precise application without the need for a spoke.
To be honest, I’ve never really worn liquid lipsticks (I loved them when they were all the rage) and I was surprised how much I liked this one.
I love all the colors except Inloveable. This shade is beautiful but has too much metallic shimmer for my liking. It actually reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush but in lipstick form.
MAC X Selena La Reina Xtra Dimension Skin in La Leyenda is amazing! It is a beautiful shade of true gold that blends best on the skin. I really like the Skinfinish Overdose formula because it’s a powder, but it feels like a cream on the skin. No visible shimmer, but a nice sheen that can be intense or subtle depending on application.

And finally, the eyeshadow palette. Mac x Selena La Reina Eyeshadow x 8 Me Ciento… Selena’s busyness was inspired by Muay Excited. It has neutral and rich colors.
The matte quality and shimmer are on par with MAC eyeshadows. They are easy to work with and blend well on the eyes.
Since we’re already in warmer weather, I don’t see myself using this palette much. I think there are some great colors that would be great for fall and winter. It all depends on your choice of shade. As you can see from the swatches, even the matte shade swatches are rich in vert.

Bottom line, Mac did a great job with Selena’s second collection. I think they show it well with engagement incentive packages. I am very impressed with the highlighter and most of the lip products.
As for my favorite products, I have Xtra Dimension Skinfinish in La Leyenda, La Raina Lipstick (very unique shade) and Selena Vive, Dame Un Beso and Simpre Selena Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor and three lip glosses.
The Mac x Selena La Reina collection is now available and more products are available. I hope they do a second restock especially for the highlighter so more people can get it.

On Monday, Mac Cosmetics launched the Selena La Reina line, inspired by Selena’s “unique musical style, unique global influence and undeniable beauty,” according to a press release from the cosmetics company. The collection includes everything from lipsticks to eyeshadows and was created with the help of Selena’s family, including her sister Suzette Quintanilla.

On Monday, MAC Cosmetics released a limited edition collection featuring seven products from Selena La Reina’s line. Although it sold out immediately, most of the individual products are now available for pre-order.
The star of the collection might be the $35 Mi Siento…Muy Impressed eyeshadow palette, which has a total of eight shades. For example, the glossy shade It’s a Texas Thing and the matte shade Live in Concert.
Fans of lip products have many options to choose from. For example, there are four $20 lipsticks in the colors La Reina (brown), Selena Vive (nude pink), Anirban (peach pink), and Queen of Cumbia (red). There are also three liquid lipsticks for $23: Simpre Selena in red, Dame Un Beso in pink, and Big Bertha in brown, all sold out.

The Selena La Reina collection is available for pre-order on the Mac Cosmetics website at the time of writing. The products officially launch online on April 21st and will subsequently be available at Ulta Beauty, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, Century 21, and Saks Fifth Avenue beginning April 23rd. Selina liked purple the most. She wore a lot of neutral eye makeup with just a winged liner so the eyeshadows in the collection were on the neutral side but she added a pop of color with the lipstick.
It’s a separate pan with a darker shade in Blunt which is a pinkish brown toned bronzer with a matte finish and Van Conmigo which is a pinkish-mint neutral toned blush in a matte finish. Both shades work really well and show up on my fair to medium skin. I think since both colors are on the neutral side they will be suitable even for fair-skinned people and show off medium skin tones.
It is a light yellow pink beige color. It’s a great shade all over the lid and a subtle highlight on the brow bone.
It is described as a deep black with a matte finish. On me the eyeshadow comes out as a dark blue shade and is very pigmented.

It is a black eyeliner with a matte finish. I found it very difficult to use the small brush on the eyeliner, I was able to apply a thin line on my eyes but it was difficult to create a precise line for the thick liner. The liner is very black and dries matte which I love. It did not budge or bleed all day and re-applied at the end of the day.
A neutral lipstick from the line, it is described as a rosy brown with a glossy finish. The other two shades are stronger for free.
It is described as bubblegum pink with silver pearls. It looks brighter in the tube than on the lips, on the lips it’s like a sheer pink with lots of shimmer and since it’s a lipstick you know it’ll last you all day.
