Yesterday I got a low battery warning on my master key. So, at least in my case, battery life depends more on how often the buttons are used, since both fob batteries drained at about the same time.
A few weeks ago, my spare key fob also had a warning light. I was surprised because it was stuck to our key rack. When my master key came on with a warning light, I was OK again. I received a set of Energizer lithium ECR2032 batteries. They should last longer. We’ll see.
