A woman came up to us and left us two places to sit and a glass of water, then she introduced herself as a family counselor and informed us that she was here to make sure we had everything we needed. required. We were released the following week. Although I am happy to be home and spend time with my daughter, I miss the constant monitoring. The alarm went off when her oxygen went off at the hospital, but we didn’t have that at home, and I was afraid to leave her side and couldn’t sleep unless my husband was watching her. I called our doctor and searched online for monitors we could buy and use at home, and the doctor finally talked to me. He suggested that Mason sleep in our room for at least 6 months – where I wouldn’t see him leave my room…even if he was a teenager.

Mason has reflux, silent reflux, which causes him to constantly vomit from his nose.
