New Electric Suvs Coming Out – Kia is testing its first electric SUV, the EV9, ahead of its debut in 2023. The three-door electric SUV first appeared as a concept car at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, but as production approaches, Kia gives us closer than we can hope for.
As the light SUV market heats up, with increasing demand for EVs like the Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X, Kia is testing its “flagship” EV SUV, the EV9.

The EV9 is expected to be a game changer for Kia and the electric SUV market. The concept was first shown at the LA Auto Show in 2021, and in March Kia released more details, including 0 to 100km/h in 5 seconds and a distance of 540 km (336 miles).

The Cadillac Lyriq is the first electric vehicle launched for the brand and will sit on GM’s BEV3 platform – part of the parent company’s plan to launch 20 new EVs by 2023.
Since its launch in August 2020, we’ve learned about (and covered) Lyriq’s many features, including a three-meter display, AR Heads Display, and an infotainment system that aims to rival the Tesla’s UX.
After a production preview last August, we learned that the Cadillac Lyriq will start in the $60k range at $58,795. As a result, Lyriq sold out in just 19 minutes. With delivery expected in 2022, Cadillac recently shared images of its new design ahead of full production.

Canoo may not be a household name compared to some of the other automakers on this list, but it could be one day for its unique technology and unique design. With many electric vehicles already introduced and planned for 2023, the Canoo Life Vehicle is the first to arrive for the company.
