The other day I picked up an amazing collection of “special sale” cars. I went in for multiple engine codes, not satisfied with the car dying. After a few starts, the battery capacity measurement stops when the jump pack is removed.
The battery has not been properly tested and there is no alternative. The PCm monitors the alternator and short circuit operation and detects the voltage source on the other wire. (The PCM wiring was checked later.)
Long story short, I replaced the alternator and battery and got it running. I noticed the battery voltage shot up to 18 volts and the battery started to smell like rotten eggs.
I checked the scan data again and saw that the pcm was still controlling the alternator at 100% field strength. (It’s probably an old fried alternator and battery.) I also found this in the scan data, the PID module voltage data showed 7-8 volts.

Maybe try plugging in an alternative to fix the screw problem. because he did not do so before. Sounds like an eBay specific ECM issue to me. I will check the energy/feelings and make sure there is nothing funny going on with them. This is where branding begins….

I have no doubt that PCM is a mess, but it seems like a haphazard way of responding to what at first glance appears to be a problem. ‘Target AFR’ PID wants 2.00 (stupid lean) and gets it. I think this is an example because I’ve seen many Honda engines react badly. When a Type A failure is detected, they drain all the fuel from the bank and leave it for the rest of the cycle.
No codes other than p0300. After thinking about how to attack this thing all day, I decided to stay late after work and look up the injection error code. I’m with you Tyler, I thought this would be a bad problem solver.
There is no PCM control and all injection wiring on this car appears to be controlled by the PCM. four injectors, measuring resistance of injectors, continuity between computer and injectors, short to ground or voltage on affected wires; all checked. Here are some pictures and waveforms.
