Mazda Cx 5 Signature White
Mazda Cx 5 Signature White – I love this deal. Whenever I can get something of similar quality at a lower price, please keep signing with me. I buy things to show people how much I paid for them. (For the record, I don’t recommend this – you end up with an ugly pair of shoes that will hurt your feet.) Being a proud miser, I’ve become a big fan of Mazda’s latest offerings. Deluxe game.

This isn’t the first time the Japanese automaker has tried something like this. That year, it launched the Amati brand as a competitor to Lexus/Infiniti. Plans for the Amati have been shelved (cars with that name aren’t for sale), but Mazda is relaunching iconic versions of some of its cars in hopes of offering luxury trim at non-luxury prices. Interest me.
New 2024 Mazda Cx 5 2.5 Turbo Signature Awd Suv In Pittsburgh #m24232
The latest Mazda to add a Signature trim is the 2019 CX-5, which also adds a new turbocharged engine and upgraded technology. The CX-5 is the third Mazda to offer the Signature trim level, following the CX-9 three-row SUV and the Mazda6 midsize sedan. Reviewer Fred Meyer tested the Mazda6 Signature (powered by the same engine as the CX-5) and found it to be the brand’s “new pinnacle” of luxury.
I wanted to know if the CX-5 signature has the same characteristics as the Mazda6. The total price of my CX-5 Signature test car was $39,455 (including destination charge and about $1,600 in dealer extras like floor mats and trunk).
My test car was painted Snowflake Pearl White on the outside, but the interior is a very nice dark brown Nappa leather that feels decidedly luxurious. The overall feel of the cabin is perhaps the CX-5’s hallmark; I found the quality of materials not only on the seats but also on the dashboard to be high, with an obvious solid wood and metal finish that rivals both the high-end and lower-end luxury rivals.
On the other hand, there’s one part of the interior that doesn’t really deserve luxury: the CX-5’s multimedia system. The 7-inch screen is mounted high, but it doesn’t feel that big these days – unlike the giant displays in the BMW X3 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC 300. The system is also difficult to use, with the CX-5 moving the screen off (you have to use the rotary disk), which is inconvenient. The addition of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for 2019 adds functionality to the system, but it doesn’t seem to add to the handling or driving experience of vehicles like BMW and Mercedes.
Mazda Cx 5 100th Anniversary Review
It’s worth noting that there aren’t many good ones like Lexus and Infiniti, and Acura’s new system, which we debuted on the RDX, has its flaws. In general, Japanese automakers seem to be lagging behind in this area, and that doesn’t excuse Mazda – it just means it has company.
What ultimately hurts the CX-5, however, is its driving experience. Handling remains as precise as before, but when luxury is standard, comfort leaves much to be desired. First is what’s under the hood, where the new engine for 2019 is: a 227-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 310 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
This engine offers 40 more horsepower and a whopping 124 lb-ft of torque over the base engine, which is impressive, but not enough to make the CX-5 easy to drive.
You need a luxury transmission. It feels like you’re always asking the engine for more power; you just press the throttle and the CX-5 doesn’t seem to want to let go. As a result, I drive the CX-5 almost exclusively in Sport mode to give it more power, but it’s not a satisfying solution.
Mazda Cx 5 Review: Beaten By Its Own Brother
I also found that there is a lack of transportation. It’s a very fine line that a vehicle must walk: it’s easy to dial in too much isolation, making the ride too soft, or make the suspension too stiff and wrap the cabin over every bump. The CX-5 Signature rides on 19-inch wheels, which may be too far forward for an SUV. In a sporty sedan or hatchback, I’d prefer that ride, but an SUV should have less vibration (and noise) from the road and tires.
While the CX-5 doesn’t quite live up to the luxury label for me, I still think it’s good value for money over the Signature model I tested. Nearly $40,000 once seemed like an insane price for an SUV, but let’s take a look at some of the competition: The 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan and Chevrolet Equinox in particular break that barrier thanks to a variety of options. I think the CX-5 drives better, has better materials and looks better than any of these cars.
