Lexus Convertible Sports Cars For Sale
Lexus Convertible Sports Cars For Sale – The Lexus LC 500 Convertible manages to take everything we love about the standard LC coupe and deliver an open car without sacrificing much. It’s not the fastest or most powerful car in its class, but its silky-smooth V8 and nimble handling make it one of the most fun to drive. It is also beautiful inside and out, with interesting details and beauty. Cargo space is pretty small, and we were disappointed with some of the controls and menus, but the LC Convertible is so impressive in other areas that it’s easy to overlook its shortcomings.

Lexus Lc500: Owner Review
Some car makers have cars that don’t get the attention or sales they deserve. For Lexus, it will be the LC 500. This fast and comfortable grand tourer is the impressive flagship model of the brand. The first thing you will notice is its stunning design. The LC 500 has been out since the 2018 model year, but the exterior styling still looks stylish and unique. When you step inside, you will appreciate the exquisitely designed interior and unique craftsmanship.
Driving Costs Estimated driving costs for the 2023 Lexus LC 500 Convertible 2dr Convertible (5.0L 8cyl 10A) and comparable vehicles are based on 15,000 miles per year (with a mix of 55% city and 45% highway estimates and power driving). $3.79 per gallon unleaded premium in North Dakota.
The rear-wheel drive LC 500 is offered as a coupe or convertible, and there’s a compact model (which we reviewed separately). Under the hood is a standard 471 V8 engine. It is very loud and produces an impressive sound that will make you want to go all the way home.
While the LC 500 is desirable, there are other luxury coupes and convertibles worth considering. The Porsche 911 is definitely sportier, but the Lexus is still fun to drive and grips when the road turns. The recently redesigned Mercedes-Benz SL is an attractive vehicle with heritage, but it’s expensive. There is also the BMW 8 Series, which is the same size and is also offered as a coupe or convertible. Deciding between these can be difficult, but check out our team’s scores and tests below to see where the LC shines and falls short.

The vehicle test team tests a new batch of vehicles every week, combining objective tests on our test tracks with real-world driving on city roads, highways and twisty roads. The data we collect generates our expertise. It is based on over 30 articles covering every aspect of the car experience.
How does the LC 500 Convertible drive? The LC 500 Convertible is more about feel and feel and less about overall performance. For the class, acceleration and braking numbers are disappointing. But when you’re behind the wheel, the graphics are easily forgivable. The 5.0-liter V8 engine is the real deal, with smooth, crisp power at redline and the best exhaust note to date. It is a pleasure to travel.
Steering is uncomfortable but quick, direct and firm without feeling heavy. The suspension is designed for comfort over sports, but is responsive enough. Lexus has improved the LC’s brake feel, making it easier to control and more stable. The transmission was mostly trouble-free, although we did experience some stuttering in low-speed traffic.
How comfortable is the LC 500 Convertible? Comfort mode is where the LC 500 Convertible really shines. The ride surface is smooth and soft, absorbing bumps without too much bounce or bounce. On rough roads, it doesn’t feel like an LC coupe, but it’s not far off.

Seating in the LC is excellent, with well-shaped seats that are supportive without feeling cramped. It also has adequate ventilation, and a small heated vent under the head to keep your neck warm when the top is down.
LC is also silent. It is easy to talk to people above or below. And you can hear the amazing V8. The climate control system works well, although the vents are not positioned properly and take a while to aim properly.
What is it like inside? The interior of the LC Convertible is similar to the LC Coupe. Despite the low ride height and long doors, getting in and out is easy thanks to the low support seat and decent height. The power-adjustable steering offers plenty of adjustment and evens out when the car is off. The driving position is excellent, with well-placed controls and gauges and a good view of the road ahead.
The rear window is narrow, but no worse than that found in other convertibles in this category. Some drivers may find the interior tight, but the doors are designed to provide plenty of elbow room.

Poor controls and LC’s on-screen menu design are the most obvious culprits. It is not commonly heard; Heated seat controls, for example, are awkwardly hidden in sub-menus. The touchpad interface is difficult.
How is the technology? The infotainment system is good but still uses a complex touchpad interface with menus that hide frequently used controls. The system itself feels dated, especially compared to the latest systems found in LC rivals. Voice commands work well. Although not as powerful as some of the competition, LCs can understand natural language and communicate with media, radio, navigation and climate control systems.
Lexus includes a good range of driver assistance devices like traffic control cruise control and lane keeping assist and lane departure warning. We’d prefer a surround camera system, but a combo of parking sensors with a standard backup camera works well.
How is the storage? We didn’t expect a stylish convertible like this to offer so much in the way of storage. Even with those low expectations, the LC conversion was disappointing. The luggage compartment isn’t big enough for a few bags, and it’s not very deep – you really have to be careful about crushing food.

The cabinet is no better. Aside from the small center console, the LC has no real place to put small items like sunglasses or your phone. The door pockets are tight, as are the cup holders. The real saving grace is the back seat. Because of its small size, it is better used for cargo than people.
How is the fuel economy? The EPA estimates fuel economy for the LC Convertible at 18 mpg combined (15 city/25 highway), 1 mpg lower than the coupe. That’s about average for a V8-powered competitor. Our car managed 25.8 mpg on our typical 115-mile test route despite good weather and road conditions during the drive. Overall, we think you’ll have some trouble comparing the EPA numbers.
What is the best price for the LC 500 Convertible? The LC 500 convertible commands a premium over the coupe, but that’s generally true of any convertible with a coupe variant. The list of common features is generous. You also get excellent build quality. Almost everything is covered in leather, and most of the switches are metal or feel like metal. Lexus has really focused on making sure the convertible is as tough as the coupe. Sure, you can get more performance for the price elsewhere, but as pure luxury goes, it’s hard to find a better deal in this class.
The LC’s base warranties of four years/50,000 miles and six years/70,000 miles are above average for the class. Lexus includes four years of roadside assistance and one year of free maintenance.
What’s New: 2024 Lexus Lc 500 / 500h / Lc 500 Convertible
Looks are subjective, but we think the LC 500 Convertible is the best-looking car on the road today. It’s subtle without being loud or flashy, and there’s plenty of it
