How Long Do Mazda 3 Engines Last
How Long Do Mazda 3 Engines Last – The Mazda 3 has seen several new releases since its launch in 2003 and has continued to appear on local roads ever since. No one knows for sure which car looks the best. But for today’s generation, one can agree that Mazda 3 is already “brilliant”.
If one can think back far enough, the Mazda 3’s predecessor, the Mazda 323, was fairly average. (Still used as a police car) (Some models are still in use today.) A third model is more commonly used for private jobs. It is also very popular among private owners.
How Long Do Mazda 3 Engines Last
In my opinion the design for the first two generations was more evolutionary than revolutionary. But from the 3rd generation it changed. Almost completely different. But for the 4th generation, I feel that Mazda has returned to a more advanced style with the 4th generation while still sticking to the “Kodo Design” principle. Mazda 3 has not waned in popularity, so things seem to be going well.
Mazda 3 Bk 2006
Thanks to One Drive Automobile for lending us their Mazda 3 for this article.
As mentioned earlier, this is the 4th generation Mazda 3. Specifically, the 2020 Mazda 3 Mild Hybrid 1.5A Elegance is a mid-range option in Singapore, while the Mazda 3 is sold internationally with 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5 engines. Singapore received only 1.5 liters of blended fuel in the form of petrol or diesel.
This is very unfortunate. (and a bit lazy) 2.0-liter engine Thanks to Mazda’s new Skyactiv-X engine, the higher compression ratio ranges from 15:1 to 16.3:1. Yes, an engine with a higher compression ratio than the Ferrari 458 Speciale’s 14. :1. 1 But with taxes and high car prices it’s understandable why the Mazda 3 is equipped with a 1.5 liter engine from Singapore.
But it’s not all bad, yes, the Skyactiv-G 1.5 liter engine can only produce 120 hp and 153 Nm of torque, but it’s the same engine carried over from the previous model. They are known to be quite reliable. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic torque converter, and interestingly, Mazda is the only Japanese manufacturer not to install a CVT in its cars, opting for an automatic torque converter instead.
Mazda3 Has Arrived
And if you’re curious about the Mind Hybrid system, it doesn’t affect the engine’s power much. But the 5.1 kW battery is there to boost torque during basic acceleration. And the main thing is to supply electricity for electronic devices
Being Japanese, the Mazda 3 is known for its reliability with no mechanical issues. There is a reason why many previous Mazda 3’s run for private hire. It is such a reliable mechanism and easy to operate. With proper maintenance, this means a basic service every 10,000 km or 6 months and a major service every 40,000 km. The Mazda 3 is a reliable vehicle for all your needs and more.
Fuel economy is quite good as expected for a small engine. And with the mild hybrid system equipped with a 50-liter tank, we can expect 650 to 850 km per full tank, or 13 to 17 km per liter. That’s a pretty good number considering it’s a mild hybrid system. Of course, these numbers depend on your driving style. But overall, the Mazda 3 is still fuel efficient.
There are still known issues with the Mazda 3, whether the third generation has an all-analog gauge cluster or an analog gauge with small digital screens on either side. Depending on the needs but the current generation has shifted to a full range of digital gauges. This entire set of digital meters is known to have problems with dead pixels. The only solution is to replace the entire temple group. Fortunately, the cluster can be replaced under warranty.

Additionally, the Mazda 3 has a very complex electronic unit that can drain the battery a little faster than normal. Even simple things like leaving the door open for long periods of time have been known to drain the battery. Some owners say this isn’t a money-wasting problem, but their batteries die in less than 2 years. But it is worth remembering. Because nothing is more annoying or inconvenient than a flat battery.
Yes, the Mazda 3 is a reliable car. But never stop and if you want to buy one. Sent it for inspection before purchase. who knows?
It’s a lot. Mazda 3 takes comfort and refinement a step further. It offers the interior fit, finish and feel of the Continental brand at a much lower price. For vehicles with rear tension beam. Ride quality is decent for a very expensive car. The factory soundproofing also does a good job of reducing most road noise. And that’s not what I expect from a car aimed at the masses.
Although the interior is black, it goes well with the white work of this particular unit. Most of the interior is covered with smooth synthetic leather. Touch points such as the dashboard, armrests, door panels, steering wheel and gear knob are soft to the touch. The driver’s seat can be adjusted electronically. It has enough headroom for all passengers. However, even in the back, the proportions of the Mazda 3 suggest that carrying four passengers is easier than carrying five.
Mazda 3 Review 2024
The infotainment system is factory installed. And easy to use, the 8.8-inch can use Android Auto and Apple Carplay, but must be connected via cables. The only possibility is that the screen may be slightly away from the driver. This can make it difficult to see what’s on the screen while driving, luckily, Mazda has equipped the infotainment system with physical controls. There is a rotary knob to control the operation. Another dial is also included for volume control.
HVAC control is also a button. This makes it easy to adjust your air conditioner even while in transit. Being a Japanese car, the air conditioner is very cold. This is very acceptable in Singapore’s climate. The front air conditioner has a dual-zone function that allows the driver and passenger to set the temperature according to their needs. Unfortunately, there is no rear vent.
The steering column is both tilting and telescopic. And as mentioned above, the temple complex is all digital. The rear seat can be folded in a 60/40 split, and the ISOFIX points are easily accessible with a lever to place the seat in the boot. It is under a plastic cover.
The Mazda 3 comes with Bridgestone Turanza T005A size 215/45/R18 tires from the factory, comfortable and quiet. These are not high performance tires, so keep that in mind if you want to take lively corners.
Mazda 3 Review
For a car in this segment and price point, the Mazda 3 comes with several safety systems, which is unusual. Safety support systems include adaptive cruise control. Lane departure warning systems, including front and rear cross-traffic alert systems, the car’s camera reads road speed limit signs and displays the speed limit in the instrument cluster and head-up display. Although you can opt out or disable these security aids, they are still useful functions. Especially when driving in heavy traffic or when you are tired.
Trunk space in the Mazda 3 is optimal, with 444 liters of boot space with the seats up and 859 liters with the rear seats folded down. Not the most spacious in terms of boot capacity, but it’s good enough for most people.
Interestingly, although it is a spare tire, it also has a spare tire. This feature is increasingly rare in new cars these days. It’s a better choice than the foam rubber that most manufacturers put in new cars today. This is because the foam doesn’t have to work much.
If you want another Japanese alternative, the Toyota Altis can’t go wrong. Toyota is legendary for their reliability. Their current new car is very reliable, like the Mazda 3, the new Altis is a huge improvement over the previous model. In terms of sophistication, quality and driving comfort, however, it comes with a CVT instead of an automatic torque converter. Also, unlike Mazda 3 which is made in Japan, Altis is made in Thailand.
