I’m a little confused about these messages on my multi info display. At this time, it also pays ‘oil change due’ and ‘service due at 621 miles’.

Can anyone explain this? The oil change interval will display a lot of information along with the ‘Service Due’ message on Mazda Connect. But where does the message ‘time change change’ come from? If I reset the oil change in Mazda Connect, will it reset both? — Plan an oil change soon.

EDIT: @yrwei52 — The manual reads that it leaks at ‘1000 km (600 mi)’ before setting, but actually 1000 km = 621 mi, so the leak interval is just a metric and rough estimate. Varies to mileage in the manual.

When my flexible oil change monitor shows 30% oil life (I use % instead of miles to show oil life, which makes more sense to me in 2016). Good to know that they adhere to Mazda moly oil and OEM filter. We received an oil change kit from our sponsor. The drain plug requires a good 8mm hex socket and 5 quarts of moly oil to bring the oil level up to the full/max mark and extra/min marks. The 4.8 kt oil capacity listed in the owner’s manual is incorrect.

Everyone in the world except the US uses the metric system.
So basically, oil change and service intervals are basically the same. No additional service other than oil/tyre? I am 5600 miles away. This goes as far as the sign to change the oil. This is my first oil change.

My working theory at the moment is when the next service/maintenance comes x miles which seems like enough to refresh you, indicating what kind of service to change at 1000km = 621 miles (621 miles) . ‘Due to scheduled maintenance’ and ‘pending tire rotation’ may appear where applicable; You have enabled these alerts.

Click to expand… I only remember one thing. 1 year or 10,000 miles on a 2016.5 CX-5 (2016.5) with flexible OCI, whichever comes first, but for the 2017+ MY it’s 1 year or 7,500 miles (12,000 km, no conversion error here.) So in theory, for key indicator if the calculation is not reset from the flexible oil change monitor in step. Or if there is a bug in the PCM firmware that handles the calculation. So make sure you change your oil this week.
Always observe the actual mileage driven and the remaining oil percentage and change the oil at 5,000 ~ 6,500 miles when 30% oil remains.

Oil Light, Is This Normal?
Yes, I wonder why 8000+ miles. I don’t know why. I remember the factory rebuilt the entire Mazda Connect system to solve the cold problem. But I believe it will be fixed before delivery once within 500 miles. In fact, I could have sworn it was serviced at 7500 miles, but recently it went up to state the service deadline (mileage).

In 2016.5 (2016.5) we have oil life percentage but no miles, so we don’t get “service time”. If I were you, I’d go over 7,500 miles and see how it performs since it’s so close to the flexible oil change monitor. If you do, please report with pictures to start the result.
